The New Yorks are a four-piece indie rock band from Adelaide, South Australia. Their sound incorporates angular guitar work and hedonistic vocals, taking influence from the early 2000’s wave of indie rock. Their sophomore EP, ‘I Wish I Was You, But That’s Just Me’ adopts a heavier garage undertone and is defined by the term “aggravating-neighbour rock”.
